Pocket Angel has a clear aim and reason for being – we want to help the homeless, rough sleepers, and the socially disadvantaged.  We want to do this by harnessing digital platforms to be a conduit between those in need, the public, and the established “bricks and mortar” charity and support organisations.

We have three main streams we are working towards establishing – and, of course, we will update this page as we achieve our goals.  We are a new organisation, so we have to build a foundation before we can achieve our longer term aims.  We are going to start with Pocket Angel Assist, and once we have that established as a viable digital platform, we will work towards Pocket Angel Restore and Pocket Angel Home.

As an organisation that will link the public to supporting organisations and charities, we have to target local areas with need.  We have selected Brighton as our first target area, but you can expect to see us expand across the country as we grow and succeed.

* Pocket Angel Assist *

This is our core digital platform in the form of a phone app.  This will allow the public to provide immediate support to homeless people using a cashless model.

* Pocket Angel Restore *

Pocket Angel will become a conduit between specialist skills-based training organisations and ex-services men and women who are at risk of homelessness or are homeless, as well as other people in the same situation.

This will allow the selected people to (re)grow their skills, working towards NVQ or other certification, and helping local projects to restore buildings, monuments, or other community facilities.

We would use Pocket Angel Assist as the platform to highlight these activities and to gather donations to help fund the work.

* Pocket Angel Home *

Our greatest ambition is to help people back into main stream society.  To achieve this, we want to establish a network of safe homes where selected people can spend months regaining their confidence, receive coaching, and have an address to use for work applications before receiving help to move onto their own home.

We would use Pocket Angel Assist as the platform to highlight these activities and to gather donations to help fund the work.
